18 June Concern OJSC AvtoVAZ and Siemens AG have completed the signing of an agreement on strategic cooperation in the supply of equipment and services for AvtoVAZ as well as to deliver integrated solutions to Siemens.
The document was signed by the President of OJSC AvtoVAZ Boris Alyoshin and CEO of Siemens AG Sector Industry Heinrich Hizinger.
The agreement provides for cooperation in areas such as industrial automation, equipment and building automation, power generation and distribution, energy-saving technologies, systems security, information technology and solutions, lighting equipment. Siemens includes AvtoVAZ to the list of corporate customers with the most favored.
In agreement AVTOVAZ and Siemens to develop a coordination committee which will identify priorities for development of bilateral relations. This will include management of both companies.
InterAction AVTOVAZ and Siemens to promote implementation of the investment plan of car for the period until 2012, which provides a significant upgrade infrastructure. The introduction of advanced equipment and technology will allow Siemens' AvtoVAZ to solve strategic problems for the preservation of the leading positions in the Russian automotive market.
Under the agreement, AvtoVAZ and Siemens plan to implement a number of joint projects, among which - implement measures to improve management efficiency and optimize power system for automobile. It is anticipated that Siemens will hold at AvtoVAZ energy audit, as a result of which will be drawn up a comprehensive program to reduce costs for all types of energy, including the use of advanced products and services, energy efficiency and energy saving equipment and technologies, as well as the introduction of additional controls for power.
Partnership AVTOVAZ and Siemens also applies to projects in the field of automation of assembly lines, paint shop, welding, etc. The latest development of Siemens - automated conveyor transport system, a system of technological processes - can be used to modernize existing processes.
