AVTOVAZ launched conveyor after a month of inactivity

September 1, 2009 OJSC AvtoVAZ has resumed car production after the recess in August, the company says. President AVTOVAZ Igor Komarov said that production running in time, without interruption of process equipment. According to him, this was preceded by a dense work with suppliers, which was held all last month. The main emphasis was placed on ensuring the production of materials and components - he said.

During August, a significant part of production lines AVTOVAZ was mothballed. Periodically for preventive maintenance, running the equipment to maintain it in working condition. Implement planned maintenance of machinery. In metallurgical processes were carried out repair work on heavy forging presses, which produce forgings for parts models AVTOVAZ and plants outside the assembly. In press production AvtoVAZ to service the existing lines and placement of new ones.

In September 2009, AvtoVAZ plans to produce 31,671 cars, including 2,295 cars for export. The procedure works on a short working week, introduced on 1 September, due to the necessity of austerity, the cost of production while meeting the needs of the market, automaker said in a statement.
