Over the past week electricity consumption in Russia increased by 7,7%

However, despite this fact, the index of equilibrium prices in Siberia has decre1000ased relative to previous weeks. Growth of the planned electricity could be called as usual unusually low air temperature throughout Russia, and last year”s low level of consumption.

Over the past week planned power consumption compared to the previous week rose by 2,4%, but compared to the same period last year to 7,7%, according to a press release, NP “The Market”.

In 8 of 64 subjects of the federation, united in the price band of the wholesale market, noted the planned reduction in power consumption compared to the same period last year.

Over the past week in the structure of the planned development of the European part of Russia and the Urals significant changes were observed. This compared to the same period last year decreased the proportion of the planned hydropower generation by 1,5 percentage points, which was offset mainly by an increase in the proportion of the planned development of TPP.

In the structure of the planned development of Siberia, the proportion of hydro generation fell for the week by 0.9 percentage points and decreased relative to last year”s value by 6,9 percentage points. In the European part of Russia and the Urals to the power station had 72.99% generation, hydro and nuclear power - 6,51% and 20,51% respectively. In Siberia, making the structure formed as follows: TPP - 67,03%, hydro - 32,97%.

in 52 of the 64 observed regions, compared with the previous week, marked increase in the indices of equilibrium prices for electricity in the European part of Russia and the Urals. In all regions of Siberia, there was a decrease of indices of equilibrium prices. Compared with the same period last year, the equilibrium price indexes rose in 63 regions included in the price band.

Index of equilibrium prices in the European part of Russia and the Urals for the week rose by 5,8% (and 54,3% compared to the same period last year) - up to 845.14 rubles /MW • h In Siberia, the index for the week fell by 7.3% (and increased by 8,5% compared to last year) - up to 492.36 USD /MWh.

As at January 21, 2010 the total debt market participants amounted to 33.4 billion rubles, down from 14 January 2010 at 4.4 billion rubles. By price zones experiencing a reduction in debt to 3.8 billion rubles, on non-price zones - at 0.6 billion rubles.

As at 31 December 2009 the total debt in the retail market before guaranteeing suppliers from 22 December fell to 27.5 billion rubles and amounted to 74.4 billion rubles.
