Operational Headquarters decided to develop a program of safe operation of the Sayan-Shushenskaya HPP and other countries, which should be prepared after the official announcement of the outcome of the interdepartmental commission investigating the causes of the accident.
Also at the meeting, staff decided to establish working groups on various areas of rehabilitation - an automated control system, project activities, water-power questions - with the assistance of relevant experts and specialists.
According to Energy Minister Sergei Shmatko, the restoration of the Sayan-Shushenskaya power plant will be implemented in several stages. Today we adhere to the idea of a phased restoration of the station, using the generating units that were there and were least affected, - he said.
