Cabinet proposes to increase the fines, the Code of Administrative Offenses (KUAP) and the Criminal Code (CC) of Ukraine, for the unauthorized seizure of land and unauthorized construction.
says the draft Law № 5058 On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine concerning the fines and qualification of crimes and misdemeanors, made by the Cabinet of Ministers and is registered in BP August 20 TG
According to the explanatory note to the document, the increase in fines should be in relation to the inconsistency of the monetary values used for the qualification of property crimes and misdemeanors (non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens), the actual amount of damages brought by such actions.
In particular, the minimum wage from 2004 to 2009 increased from 205 to 605 UAH. However, from 2004 to the present day exemption limit of income of citizens is 17 UAH.
bill would replace the current fines for unauthorized occupation of land to citizens ranging from 10 to 50 times the income of citizens and officials from 20 to 100 times the income of citizens, to increase to 25-100 and 100-300, respectively.
however, unauthorized occupation of land, resulting in the infliction of significant harm to its owner, now subject to a fine of 200-300 times the income of citizens, while the paper proposes a fine of 300-600 times the income of citizens.
In doing so, the fines for unauthorized construction of buildings and structures on arbitrarily occupied land is proposed to increase from today's 300-500 times the income tax exemption up to 600-1000.
