He noted that the absence of preliminary data on GDP for the first quarter of 2009 associated with the need to move to a new methodology for calculating GDP.
This Pischeyko reported that since the second quarter of this year, preliminary data on GDP will be released.
Unfortunately, we are moving from one methodology to another, no published figure for the 45-day, as Europe has introduced during the crisis. And if you have noticed, all the European countries have published only one figure - the real GDP at 45 th. We'll do that, starting from the second quarter, necessarily.
At 45 th day you will get data on real GDP for the second quarter - said Pischeyko. At the same time, he stressed that it will be provisional, because the State Statistics Committee at that time would not have all the necessary information to calculate the index.
These are very preliminary data, because we do not have all the necessary information that is needed to calculate, - said Pischeyko. For example, he noted that data on the balance of payments Goskomstat receives from the National Bank of Ukraine only 75 day after the close of the reporting period.
Therefore, before a 75-day to give an accurate assessment is impossible, - stressed Pischeyko.
