In July, beer consumption in Ukraine reduced by a quarter

Monitoring of retail for the period February-July 2009 showed that the volume of the beer market declined by 20.0% per liter equivalent compared to the same period in 2008, according to a press release, LLC MIMRB-UMG Monitoring retail Ukraine.

The reduced amount of the market in July 2009 compared to July 2008 amounted to 25.8% in the liter equivalent. Average price for 0.5 liters in July 2009 compared with July 2008 increased by 13,6%. Study conducted by MEMRB-IRI category beer, except beer in the bottling and keg beer.

While working in retail outlets collected data on the balances of each item (reference point), volumes of supplies for two months in kind, as well as balances of each product at the end of the second month of research.

Thus, based on the two-month period is calculated quantitatively the movement of goods through the outlet. To calculate the volume of sales in monetary terms, once in two months, fixed retail price of each product (price on the trading floor).
