As reported, the Verkhovna Rada June 11, 2009 adopted a law on liability of legal persons for corruption offenses. By law, the legal entity responsible for the commission on his behalf or in his interest to the head of such entity or its founder, member or other authorized person, individually, or complicity in any of the crimes defined as a corrupt act.
Act establishes the following types of judicial penalties: a fine, prohibition to engage in certain activity, the confiscation of property, liquidation of legal persons.
Act enters into force from the date of publication, and will come into effect from 1 January 2010.
