This is stated in the bill On amendments to some legislative acts regarding the pricing, which is registered in the Rada on September 22 under the number 5152.
Under the proposed changes, the Cabinet may be entitled not only to shape government policy in pricing and to create a list of goods for which local authorities have set a fixed price (this is in the current edition of the Law On prices and price setting), but to introduce a temporary ban on changing the existing prices, to determine the parity prices, and not agricultural products for farmers, the allowance of suppliers, etc.
The document establishes the right of the Cabinet to hold production quotas, subsidies and credit producers to regulate prices, to introduce the declaration of the price changes.
In addition, the bill states that the Cabinet may adopt other methods of state regulation of prices withoutspecifying that it may be a way.
Cabinet stressed that during the price control authorities should take economically sound decisions, and if prices are set at a level lower than the economically justified, then the state should subsidize the producers of such goods or services.
As reported in June, Parliament has set a limit trade allowance of 20% on all objects of state price regulation.
