Reducing promproizvodstva in Ukraine amount to 19%

Reducing industrial production in Ukraine was 19% in 2009.

This forecast was voiced in the comments UNIAN Economist of Astrum Investment Management Alexei Blinov.

In his words, the cumulative figure for July TG was slightly worse than expected. Reducing the volume of production in the food industry at 3.3% exceeded expectations, said the economist. It is connected primarily to the sharp decline in the production of liquor and vodka.

In particular, the economist said, the production of vodka dropped on the impressive 73%. In his view, the local failure due to new rates of excise tax, which came into force on 1 July. Manufacturers need to restore the production of alcoholic products in the next few months - they have partially offset the decline of early July, the intensification of production in June - July so the deviation must not significantly affect the rate of 2009, - predicts Alexander Blinov.

As stressed

economist, the dynamics of the remaining components of the total production in July in line with its expectations. Metallurgy has been the main engine of industrial production, showing a growth of 15.3%, according to preliminary estimates, he said.

As UNIAN reported, according to the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine, in July 2009 to June recorded an increase of industrial production at 4.9%. However, in comparison with July 2008, a drop promproizvodstva was 26.7%, and generally in January and July of 2009, compared to the same period in 2008, the decline amounted to 30,4%.
